In locality Sant'Angelo, some medieval graves have been discovered just in 2011, and among them, one of a young man with his mortuary equipment and a shell, distinctive mark of his condition of young pilgrim.

This object, safeguarded by the Archeological Government Department, is the tangible documentary sign that Roccamontepiano has been a place of sanctuaries and pilgrimages since the medieval time.
