St. John's fires

June 23

Till the '60 of last century, on June 23, during the eve's evening, the St. John's fires were lighted by boys from all quarters; the rite of the fires is followed by an exchange of presents, simple flowers given by boys to girls; the local expression "farsi a compari e commare" (literally "lay down with old mates and gossips") is used to indicate this action.
